Your Contributios make a reality of our vision.

About Us

Our main goal is to support the orphans in George by teaching them how to express feelings in melodically powered words with the assistance of our songwriting volunteers. Our dream is to see the youngsters flourish, overcoming their emotional trauma with a fresh approach.

The

Social Problem:

Within George located in the Garden Route of South Africa, struggling youth face a complex web of challenges exacerbated by socio-economic, geographical factors, substance abuse, abandonment and a lack of recreational facilities.

Our

Solution:

Teaching orphans and children with special needs how to write thoughtful lyrics and expressive melodies through basic songwriting techniques showing them how to articulate their dreams and feelings with words that are composed to be sung. Singing with makeshift rhythmic accompaniment comes naturally to our community with or without the inclusion of musical instruments.

Your Contribution:

By volunteering, you experience the true joy of human connection when practicing the power of vocalised emotion. Your financial contributions also enable us to keep the wheels turning towards our important vision.

The

Result:

Disadvantaged orphans and children with special needs in George with a heightened future potential free from unwanted emotional, social and health limitations expressing their thoughts and feelings on paper with words intentionally written to be sung. The uncluttering of potential.

The Reason:

In 2022 Regard realised that there was a different side to songwriting. The usual approach by default was to write for commercial gain with the concept originating as per the demand of the listener. After some introspection Regard discovered the flip side of words intended to be sung. There was something unconsciously working behind the scenes. He then reconnected with an old friend, a songwriting mastermind Clive who theoretically placed the puzzle together for him. Regard could then reflect back on his life and frame the powerful impact that songwriting unknowingly delivered to his being. Knowing this he had to share the tools with other people, especially young children who could benefit from this discovery. The two writers then phoned up another old friend master songwriter Gian to embark on a journey together where they could make a difference starting with the orphans in George. Since 2023 more than 30 children and teenagers have been part of our training program. The results, speechless…

Why Song vir Nonna?

As a result of childhood trauma I wasted a lot of precious time on bad habits and unnecessary addictions. Luckily hidden within my body of music I found an alleviating method through songwriting which turned out to be miraculously helpful. Thus it became my duty to share these life changing findings with the struggling youth of George in the Garden Route who can relate to my 13 year old self
