Workshops

The Song vir Nonna volunteers facilitate monthly, bi-weekly and weekly workshops at our partnership locations where students form groups of between 2 – 8 writers. Lectures consists of practical and theoretical sessions where we take students through our 5-module program recognised by the Cape Town School of Songwriting. They write songs with the assistance and guidance of our professional writers. At the end of the course, we record and produce a selection of their best songs. A final year end concert takes place to showcase the students work allowing them to express themselves artistically in front of the community. A certificate of achievement goes to all our students for their participation leaving us with heartwarming stories from all kinds of walks of life.
